Howdy ya’ll. Today, to celebrate 100k subscribers, we will dive into the history of the largest settlements on earth. From the first sites to reach over 1,000 occupants, circa 7,000 BC, to large fortified cities populated by 80,000 people or more, to lost cities recently found in Ukraine, our journey is an epic one. To begin, according to the mainstream, we turn to The West Bank of the River Jordan. However, our travels will seemingly weave a path all across the world. We will discuss Petra, as well as Ancient Turkey. We will also take a remarkable look at newly discovered fortified proto-cities which existed in Ancient Ukraine, appearing to be the pre-cursors to fortified cities of many centuries later. We will finally take a look into the Epic of Gilgamesh and the ancient site of Uruk in modern day Iraq. We will browse through the remaining amazing architecture, artifacts and artistic representations. I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas regarding the largest settlements of the ancient world down below. This video is intended as “food for thought”, re-examining our narrative, and weighing the possibilities of the discoveries to come.
