Fuga: Melodies of Steel (「戦場のフーガ」, “Senjō no Fuga“, lit. “Fugue on the Battlefield“ in Japan) is a turn-based RPG developed and published by CyberConnect2, released on July 29th, 2021. The game is set in Free Lands of Gasco, a floating mass of land inhabited by dogs and cats called Caninu and Felineko, under attack from the neighbouring Berman Empire. The rest of the synopsis is irrelevant to the setting of this superevent, but it features a giant tank operated by children Evangelion-style, a powerful weapon powered by the energy of souls that you can sacrifice said children to, and a doberman that looks like Otto von Bismarck and acts like Erwin Rommel. And you thought Girls Frontline or OMORI was the peak of what could feature a TNO reference. This video is being uploaded on the occasion of the game’s sequel being released today, May 11th 2023, on Steam included, as well as to commemorate the largest influx public interest towards the franchise in Russian community caused by an extremely popular streamer featuring this game’s walkthrough, with viewer count higher than any stream of the game before.
