Upscaled and Remastered via AI. Imperanon was a Melo-Death Metal band from Finland. Drummer Jaakko Nylund and guitarist Asko Sartanen formed Imperanon in the fall of 1999. Shortly thereafter Aleksi Sihvonen and Eki Nurmikari joined Imperanon, and the band recorded their first demo Until The End in 2002 . Imperanon proved to be well received thanks to its melodies mixed with powerful riffs and rhythms typical of melodic death metal , similar to bands like Children of Bodom or Norther . During the fall of 2002 musical differences between Asko Sartanen and the rest of the band culminated in Sartanen’s split, so a new guitarist, Teemu Mäntysaari, filled the vacant position. In 2003 they released the Imperanon demo , which was completed in the same year and left a not too positive mark among Finnish journalists, who called it “unoriginal“.
