Restoration of Caucasian Dagger - from Mountains to my Workshop

Hello folks! Today I want to present to you a new restoration of the Caucasian dagger. They brought it to me from Kakheti (partially mountainous a region in Georgia). The dagger of the early 19th century, but someone tried to “restore“ it is a few years ago, and we will soon find out and see “how“. Well, I will try to restore it in my workshop! The first duty, I disassembled the dagger sheath. As I thought. The scabbard, the handle was all made not so long ago, and the most rude and terrible mistake is that someone removed the rust of an old dagger with a rough stone... I am more than sure that the stamp was lost in this way. But nothing can be changed. I will try to restore what is left. I cleaned the blade and the accessories of the scabbard with a rust remover.
