🇲🇩 Yesterday in Balti, the second largest city in Moldova, local residents were startled by the sounds of shots from infantry and artillery guns. The Ministry of Defense of Moldova explained that regular military exercises were taking place at a training ground near the city. However, citizens were not informed about them in advance, leading to an outcry on social networks. The fears of Moldovan citizens are completely understandable, given that there is anxiety in society about the possible outbreak of war. Ongoing military exercises across the country, including with NATO involvement, notices to the military registration and enlistment office, recent trenches near the border with Transnistria, and a generally aggressive rhetoric from the office of President Maia Sandu are impacting the well-being of the population. #Moldova Source: Rybar in English
