It starts with the major milestones of the Gemini program including manned missions, space walks, and longer periods in space for astronauts. It then looks at the development of the Saturn I rocket with footage of its components, the testing of the different components, and some launches. After this, there is detailed footage of the newly developed Saturn V rocket, including its stages and components being tested. It ends with some large construction sites at Cape Canaveral that will be needed to accommodate the eventual start of the lunar missions. This includes a new launch complex as well as the testing of the rocket transporters. 0:08 NASA Logo, 0:33 different forms of rocketry hardware, 0:43 a rocket engine igniting, 1:08 “Manned Space Flight: A Year of Qualification Testing”, 1:32 a rocket from the Gemini program sitting on the Launchpad and then taking off, 2:12 first stage separating, 2:27 footage of the earth from a spacecraft, 2:48 an astronaut performing a spacewalk, 3:08 astronauts boarding a rocket, 3:24 Gemini 7 launching, 3:44 Gemini 6 being erected on the Launchpad, 4:03 Houston Mission Control Center, 4:15 footage from the international NASA tracking network centers, 4:45 one of the Gemini orbit vehicles in space, 5:28 a slow motion video of a Gemini Orbit Vehicle entering the atmosphere, 5:36 astronauts being lifted onto a helicopter after reentry, 6:11 Saturn I rocket on the Launchpad, 6:40 ground testing of the Saturn I, 7:01 Saturn I rocket launching, 7:29 stages separating filmed from onboard cameras, 7:55 another Saturn I rocket taking off, 8:22 an upgraded Saturn I experimental rocket for the Apollo program, 9:16 engineers operating computers, 9:42 slow motion water drop test of the Apollo command module, 10:00 different parts including propulsion, communications system, spacecraft propulsion module reaction control system, stabilization system, and the engines, 10:40 Apollo launch escape system being tested at White Sands, New Mexico, 11:32 testing of small parts like guidance systems, liquid oxygen tank pressurization, and rocket fins, 12:04 the completed Apollo upgraded Saturn I, 12:36 the engines of the Apollo Saturn V, 12:42 subsystems of the Saturn V being shown like liquid hydrogen tanks.
