‘This is the danger’: Australia cannot be a ‘pushover’ when dealing with China

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has to ensure Australia is not seen as a “pushover” when it comes to discussing diplomacy with China, says Agenda C Managing Director Parnell Palme McGuinness. “This is the danger for Australia; we want to be friends, we want to trade … but at the same time, you have got to be very clear that some things aren’t acceptable,” she told Sky News host Caleb Bond. “Our values are our values, our borders are our borders, and our security regime is ours.”
