Remote Spaces (1993-2004) was a duo comsisting of Konrad “Yankus“ Jakrzewski and Krzysztof “Horn“ Rzeznicki from Poland. Their music is firmly based on the best electronic music traditions established by Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and Vangelis. If you’re looking for a mix of berlin school of electronic music (berlin schule music), ambient and melodic electronic music, you’ve come to the right place. :)

*REVIEWS:*
For years, Remote Spaces has been associated with music maintained in atmospheres intermediate between Vangelis, KS and Tangerine Dream, while on this album they fried out an outflow towards almost ambient atmospheres, only that in the melodic variety of this genre, i.e. space music in the style of Robert Rich with a touch of Jonn Serrie. As for me, the most interesting Polish electronic group, such Polish Software. [...].
Remote Spaces show with this position how to make a symbiosis of modern sounds with electronic classics in an original way without falling into archaisms. I recommend to all who are not familiar with their work as an introduction before reaching for more of their items.

I will frankly admit that at the beginning of my adventure with el-music I had a complex of the Polish electronic scene. Oddly enough, I made it up for myself and it had no support in practice. I simply imagined that if something is Polish, it will always be a copy or, at best, an imitation of what is foreign (although it is clear that in the case of electronic music it is impossible to escape the stigma of apparent derivativeness, which was stamped on it by the great German precursors). The same was true of the music itself - even the music from the 1970s - in most cases you could hear the differences between what was ours and what was not, in the quality of all sorts of equipment and in the production of the recordings themselves, so I was afraid that in the case of native el-creators, what would come to the fore would be the Polish (then still understood by me as plastic) keyboard sounds. As it turned out - my suspicions were completely unfounded. One of the albums, giving the lie to the above complex, is the album “Silos“ - the last (for the time being) studio production of the group Remote Spaces.[...]. For some, the album “Silos“, is a Polish masterpiece. For me - simply a masterpiece.

Wow, this is really “strong“ music from our Polish neighbors :-) Remote Spaces, [...] from Poland, who have also been active on synthesizers for many years. -Silos- comes from 2004 and can easily be attributed to the Berlin School style. And it’s really great music! The music builds up quite steadily to go “nitty gritty,“ as they say nicely. The guys really delivered, they had a lot of great ideas and integrated them in a great way. Good rhythm, rich is EM of the highest order.
