Putin Hails Security Services For Wagner Halt, Ukraine Downs Drones-Missiles, Crimea Track Blown Up

Russian President Vladimir Putin has told members of Russia’s security services that they “prevented civil war” by stopping the Wagner mutiny. Putin said the security personnel involved in resisting Wagner’s failed rebellion on Saturday “did not flinch“. Putin said the army did not need to remove frontline units from the war, but added there were Russian casualties over the weekend. Putin also asked guests at Moscow’s Cathedral Square to hold a “moment of silence“ for Russian army pilots who died in fighting with Wagner forces. Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency has reported that railway tracks have been damaged in eastern Crimea. Pro-Russian leader Sergey Aksyonov said that railway tracks have been blown up in the Kirov district. The UK’s Ministry of Defence has reported that Ukraine has made small advances east from the village of Krasnohorivka, near Donetsk city. According to UK, Kyiv has retaken territory in eastern Ukraine that lies beyond the de facto borders established in 2014. T
