AUSSIE SWIMMER SETS NEW WORLD RECORD Australia ultra-marathon swimmer Chloë McCardel has today set a world-first record, swimming non-stop in a ’swim-spa’ for 16 hours. Using high powered water jets as resistance, Chloë swam in the swim-spa from midnight until 4pm this afternoon at the SPASA Pool & Spa and Outdoor Living Expo at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, pausing only for food and toilet breaks.
