IKEA and Virgil Abloh Present ’MARKERAD’ Collection

Ikea’s creative lead Henrik Most and Off-White’s Virgil Abloh present the design themes informing their collaborative collection, titled “MARKERAD.“ Items Virgil previewed items including a chair, a glass storage display, carpets, pillows, bags and a doorstop. Abloh noted that the products are prototypes and still may be adjusted before launching. “I have another few months before I have to stop and put the pencil down,“ explains Abloh. Most reaffirmed that the collection will be affordable with pricing in line with similar items sold by the chain. There’s not exact timing yet for the collection but it will be produced some time in 2019.
