How to scream: Adding the aryepiglottic folds to your gutturals - epiglottic screams (EVI Now clip)

What is an epiglottal scream? (BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS) When appropriately balanced we can make subtle distortion sounds with what’s called the aryepiglottic folds; they work alongside the epiglottis which helps make sure we can eat, drink and breathe safely. Like I mentioned balance is key, so THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is to be gentle and not go for volume. Although more on the quiet side, many vocalists enjoy this type of scream depending on what style of metal music they’re practicing or performing along to, and you can get some brutal results depending on how you shape it. To learn more about how to wield these screams and more, check out our course “Brutalize your Gutturals“ available in our online program EVI Now ⬇️ LEARN AND SUPPORT ⬇️ EVI Now: Learn to Scream for $35 - Listen to Renesans - Lessons -
