Molly Brandt!!!!! 🤩🤩 Oh YAYYY!!! Sometimes you suddenly see a bloom everywhere and you’re like ‘OH WHAT IS THAT FLOWER?’. Sometimes you start seeing a musician everywhere and you’re like ‘OH WHO IS THIS BLOOM?’! That is what happened with me and Molly Brandt. Suddenly - everywhere! And I loved what I was hearing, and seeing, and so jusssst decided maybe she’d be up to meeting me for the first time in a bathroom. SO NORMAL. Thank goodness, Molly is a yes-sayer! At least to this particular request. What a wonderful thing it was to get to sing this gorgeous Lucius cover in my Big Green Bathroom. What a wonderful thing it was to learn we share some of my favorite things in common: cooking as a mindful expression of care, and the belief that hey! You want to be a songwriter? Write a song! And THERE YOU ARE! It’s doing the thing! Molly lived this out in a big way a few years ago, and it culminated in her releasing a huge-hit debut album, and having super-cool-show-playing summer.
