Each set has four songs outlining the same theme. The Wellerman has arrived! I know my wellerman is a little bit late to the party, but it seems like it’s still going strong (at least judging from my newsfeed)😉 This song is just so much fun to sing that I couldn’t help it. Thanks to my patron Alain Carton for suggesting it! I don’t know if there were any female sailors in whaling crews on the shores of New Zealand in the 1860s (Wikipedia has a surprisingly detailed article on the history of this song and the elusive wellermen, but alas, nothing on this particular topic😅) so I decided to play around with some fantasy pirate outfits for this video🏴‍☠️ So, where’s that rum?..
