French Gun Concealed And Firing (1914-1918)

French Gun Concealed and Firing. France. French artillery team in action. A large French field gun; shot from behind; gun is concealed behind a bunch of small trees and bushes; with a crew of several soldiers working. DS gun - the barrel is wrapped in leaves for camouflage. Fairly close & behind - soldier turning crank to lower the barrel. Soldiers loading the gun. Moving it to different position (it is very heavy - they have to stick poles through as braces and then it takes several men straining to move it). A different view also from behind; but lower; showing that the barrel is raised; and the man directly behind it stands on a little step. Loading gun seen from this position. Then switch to the higher shot; behind the guy as one man hands him shell; another gives him the long pole to poke the shell in, then something else; explosive probably. He closes back cover. They crank gun so that barrel points upward again toward wherever they are bombing. Man attaches string to hole in the cover;
