This album was Lee Morgan’s only live recording, beginning on Morgan’s 32nd birthday (July 10. 1970), and was his last album.
Morgan appeared in the club “Slugs“ in New York on the night of February 18. 1972. During a break after the second stage, he had a fight while talking to Mrs. Helen, who fired her 32 caliber pistol.
The bullet pierced the heart and was taken to the hospital, but died shortly thereafter. The wife was arrested for the current offense. It was a disaster caused by a love-hate drama with his wife, who was 14 years older.
He is 33 years old.
