In order to get enough range out of the in-game instrument I utilized the built-in Helium Audio modifier that Naughty Dog incorporated into their game. It’s amazingly in tune and grants me an additional 6 notes above the standard range! I had to rework the music a bit to make it sound decent on the in-game guitar. What you hear is me performing my re-written music on a MIDI keyboard. I then wrote code that automatically converts a recorded performance to optimal button presses using a spoofed controller.
