Sefe Dekote (The Silent Sword) was the praise name of the hero of Soninke epic who fought against the dragon/serpent in order to save his fiancee from being sacrificed to the serpent Bida. He is without a doubt one of my favorite heroes as far as African mythology is concerned and in his honor I have named my sword style after him.
