MOZART, Violin Concerto No.3 - Julia Fischer

Hello! Sharing the third of five wonderful violin concertos composed by Mozart. Fascinating to travel through each of them! ❤️ Mozart, Violin Concerto, No. 3 (K216). Movements: 1 | 0:19 Allegro 2 | 9:45 Adagio 3 | 17:48 Rondeau: Allegro 🎼🎻Musicians: Julia Fischer (violin/director) Thomas Søndergård (conductor) London Philharmonic Orchestra February 2022 at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall. 🎼🎻About this concerto: “The Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major, K. 216, was composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Salzburg in 1775 when he was 19 years old. In a letter to his father, Mozart called it the “Straßburg-Concert“. Researchers believe this epithet comes from the motive in the third movement’s central section, a local, minuet-like dance that had already appeared as a musette-imitating tune in a symphony by Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf. The work is scored for solo violin, two flutes (second movement only), two oboes (tacet in the second movement), two horns in G and D, and strings“. #mozart #classicalmusic #juliafischer #violinconcerto #musictosleep #musictoconcentrate #musictostudy I have dedicated my time to building this channel and this is possible thanks to your support!
