Polymer Clay Tutorial 70: Scented Candle Lid from Polymer Clay Slab

Hello Weekend Crafter! Welcome or welcome back to the Craft Time Studio! I’m Anj, your weekend crafter and for today’s tutorial, I did something that I haven’t really seen anyone do on Youtube (at least not in the same way). I made a decorative candle lid using my polymer clay slabs. I did see one candle maker advertise their decorative resin lid, which is also a good idea. You can check their video out here - I really love making slabs, and I’m always trying to find ways of where I can use my slabs apart from earrings and accessories, so I was so glad that I stumbled into this idea as I was thinking of Christmas gifts to give. I used the different white color blends that I did from the previous week to make this monochromatic slab. The materials are simple. You will just need a candle holder (to determine the size of your lid), a clay extruder, some cutters, a tissue blade, a detail needle and a clay roller.
