LINN VAN HEK - INTIMACY (original Terminator video clip)

This is the original video clip of ’Intimacy,’ from The Terminator score and film, produced by Dolceamore Music, storyboarded by Lin van Hek, and directed, shot and edited by Chris Lofven and Chris Worrell. The clip was originally made before the Terminator film was shot and subsequently re-edited by Joe Dolce and Village Roadshow Australia, the distributors of the film, incorporating trailer footage of the as yet unreleased movie. The song ’Intimacy’ was sung and co-written by Lin Van Hek. It was Executive Produced and co-written by Dolce, who also played lead guitar on the track, and produced and engineered by John French and Trevor Courtney, at Music Farm Studios, in NSW, Australia. The record was released by Mushroom Records ’White Label’ on a 45 rpm and an extended play 45 rpm dance mix. It later came to the attention of music supervisor/producer, BUDD CARR, (Alexander, Seven Years in Tibet, Twister, Nixon, Natural Born Killers, JFK, The Doors, Born on the Fourth of July, Alien Nation, Wall Street, Platoon, The Patriot) who chose it for Terminator. THE TERMINATOR was the breakthrough film that launched the careers of Arnold Swartzenegger, James Cameron and Budd Carr. It has recently been included by the US Library of Congress as one of 25 films being added to the National Film Registry, along with films such as Truman Capote’s, “In Cold Blood“, James Dickey’s, “Deliverance,“ and the classic Gary Cooper movie, ’Sergeant York.“
