This Prison Executed HUNDREDS Of Nazi War Criminals...

Following the Second World War, there were many war crimes trials that took place to bring the perpetrators of war crimes, and crimes against humanity to justice. Because of this, hundreds of former Nazi SS guards and members of the army were sentenced to death and executions were held by many different authorities. One prison that was used by the US Army to execute those convicted of crimes during the Second World War was Landsberg Prison. This was previously where Hitler had been imprisoned following the Munich Putsch and his failed revolution. Inside the courtyard of Landsberg Prison, a dual gallows stood where almost 300 war criminals would be executed on. There was also a firing range where around 35 people were also executed by firing squad inside of the prison walls. Those who were executed inside the prison include Karl Brandt, Hitler’s former doctor, Oswald Pohl and many former members of the Einsatzgruppen.
