Boy Makes Hovercraft For £25 (1964)

Various shots, the 20 year-old amateur scientist and engineer Martin Stevens demonstrates his £25 hovercraft on Wick’s duckpond and then on the bank. CU Stevens and his helpers top up the engine. The hovercraft is lifted by a 200 cc chainsaw engine, and propelled by a 98 cc engine at a top speed of 3 miles per hour. Unfortunately the propelling engine was not functioning properly that day.
