What Is Stockholm Syndrome? Have We All Got It?

In 1973, Jan-Erik Olsson took four hostages as he robbed a bank in Stockholm, Sweden. After six long days, the robbery was over, but even then, the hostages were strangely thankful to the would-be thieves, even suggesting they owed their lives to them. From this event, the phrase Stockholm syndrome was coined. A description for when victims gain trust, sympathy, and even love towards their captor. But is it just hostages that can suffer from it? Might we all have Stockholm syndrome? *Check out my friends over at Neuro Transmissions*
