Bray, Berkshire. At the Hotel de Paris, we see various shots of a great hairstyle fashion show, organised by hairdresser Raymonde Vasco. A man - could be Vasco - stands at the microphone and gives (unheard) descriptions to the guests in evening dress sitting at tables, while two models in 1920s-style dresses and with short hairdos to match sashay about the room. Another model is brought into the room in a pony and trap. The pony feeds from a guest’s table. Several more shots of models with short hairdos. Mannequin Pauline has a band of false ringlets around her crown. Another style on a platinum blonde is “daintily named the H-bomb“. In the dressing room we see Vasco putting the finishing touches to another short hairstyle. Commentator notes how the Eton crop of the 20s “is elegantly superimposed on the 50s“.
