At the Museum of the City of New York is a really dolls’ house special: the famous Stettheimer Dollhouse. Carrie Walter Stettheimer (1869-1944) developed the Dollhouse over the course of 19 years (from 1916 to the death of her mother in 1935), creating many of the furnishings and decorations by hand.
