(7th May 1966) Match of the Day - Huddersfield Town v Coventry City

7th May 1966: The final Saturday fixtures of the Second Division campaign take place. Manchester City top the table with four games still to play, making themselves clear favourites not only for promotion but also the Champions of the League. The next two places are filled by Huddersfield Town and Jimmy Hill’s Coventry City, who play their final game today at Leeds Road for the Match of the Day cameras, hoping that fourth place Southampton fail gain enough points from their three remaining fixtures to win promotion. Commentator: Kenneth Wolstenholme As seen in the screen shots there is technnical hitch for the entire game that occurred during the broadcast Viasat Sport 2. Certain television sets may be able to expand their picture to correct this problem. Also Leeds Road, Huddersfield, like many other grounds at this time, had no central television gantry position. So several good reasons to enjoy this match.
