Sega Touring Car Championship (セガ ツーリングカーチャンピオンシップ) is a 1996 racing game developed by AM Annex for the Model 2 arcade board. It was later ported to the Saturn. Following the success of Sega Rally, the game’s designer, Tetsuya Mizuguchi, again looked to create another racing title, only this time featuring touring cars. Like Sega Rally, it too would stress realism. But where Rally’s focus lies primarily on its various road surfaces, Sega Touring Car Championship, as it was to be called, would instead concentrate on perfecting car physics upon tarmack.
