POTO ✧ Erik/Meg ✧ Rigoletto

Any Phantom fan who has seen the film Rigoletto (NOT to be confused with the opera by Verdi of the same title) has thought this at least once before. I know you have. It’s hard not to make the comparisons when your two main characters are a pair of disfigured musical geniuses with a thing for pretty sopranos. I think this video pretty much speaks for itself. It can be taken as shippy, or just as friendship, but either way it’s about a relationship between Erik and Meg and how (even if you choose to view this as purely platonic) she heals him and saves him and brings him out of the darkness. In return, he unlocks that place inside of her that was always waiting to be set free, the place where her own music lived.
