Wars and Warriors: Joan of Arc - SPEEDRUN Any% in 2:06:08

NOTES AND STRATEGIES: This run takes advantage of a glitch with critical attacks. Once a critical attack is performed, some attacks will keep the damage multiplier. Rush- and Down Attack in particular count as critical hits and kills. Ranged attacks don’t count but still get the extra damage. Some actions will cancel the damage modifier, such as A/B attacks and blocking. This glitch is why I fish for critical attacks in the beginning of missions, such that I get the extra damage for the remainder of the mission. Metz spawn with arrows each mission, which saves money for explosives almost exclusively. I stick with bows until the Sentinel Crossbow in Meung, because it’s too expensive to invest in bolts earlier. The game throws more money at you than you’ll need in a normal playthrough, but money and ammunition management is important for this run. In a previous run I invested in a Rapidfire Crossbow in Mission 4. I now see the err of this, as the Alexandrite gem nullifies the advantage
