Interpreting a dream (1/3)

In this practical example of how we might go about working clinically with a dream, we utilize a series of basic Freudian notions such as: associating to elements of the dream content; the day’s residue; the function of reversal; displaced affect, and the importance of the form of the dream. We also consider how a dream might be diagnostically instructive and how it might ’join the conversation’ of an analysis.
