It shows the terrain of the Paraguay River Basin of Mato Grosso, Brazil, an area of heavy rainfall, and looks at the upper tributaries of the Rio Paraguay in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso. It begins with an explanation of the water cycle and how this leads to the creation of large rainforests and abundant and diverse plant life. This is followed by maps of the river basins of South America. There are shots of some of the animals that live in this area including alligators, Piranhas, Capybaras, and different types of birds. There are also some footage of members of the Bororo Tribe.
