12 Versions of “I Put a Spell on You“ Medley– Vintage Halloween

Please consider supporting me at and help me make more spooky videos! Twelve versions of a very influential rock song and one of my favorite Halloween jams – “I Put a Spell on You“. Jay Hawkins originally wrote it as a love ballad about a girlfriend who had dumbed him. The studio liked the song but didn’t think a ballad would sell so the producer got the band drunk before the recording and this wild version was the result. It is such a timeless classic of heartbreak and desperate love and it has been interpreted in many styles by many artists since it was first released in 1956. One of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll and number 313 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
