Israel airdrops supplies to troops as Khan Younis offensive intensifies
Israel has airdropped seven tonnes of supplies to its troops in Khan Younis as fighting in and around the key southern city intensifies.
Footage released by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) showed a night-time airdrop into the enclave’s south. The supplies were parachuted from a C-130J transport aircraft to the battlefield below.
The IDF said it had delivered seven tonnes of water.
It marks the first time the Israeli military has used an airdrop to supply its troops in battle since the 2006 war with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
