China: We will not be ’taken advantage of, repressed, or enslaved’ - Xi at centenary of CCP

Chinese president Xi Jinping vowed that China will not be ’taken advantage of, repressed, or enslaved’ by foreign forces, during a speech given on the centenary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Tiananmen Square, Beijing on Thursday.
The grand procession was opened by Premier Li Keqiang, with cannons being fired, and guards marching from the Monument to the People’s Heroes, as crowds watched on.
“The Chinese people are people who uphold justice and do not submit to threats and violence .. [we are] a nation with a strong sense of pride, and confidence in itself. China has never taken advantage of, repressed, or enslaved people from other countries, whether it be in the past or present, and we will not do so in the future,“ said Xi during a speech.
Xi went on to warn that enemies of Beijing would ’inevitably be crushed by the People’s Liberation Army, built with the flesh and blood of
