Meteor Impact in Slow Motion {Duke University Research}
This sequence of high-speed videos reveals what happens underground when a missile or meteor hits the earth. Shown first at slow, then at medium and finally at high impact speeds, each video stretches a split-second impact to more than six seconds of playback time. The study explains why soil and sand get stronger when they are struck harder. Video courtesy of Abram Clark.
