Berserk Panels Described By Famous Philosophy

The fact that a bunch of Berserk’s panels can be described by philosophical quotes is interesting, which could give us something to think about and digest. Berserk is a thouroughly philosophical work by the late Kentaro Miura. It is worth to not lose that aspect of his work, and not concentrate merely on storytelling. Here are some examples of philosophy that could be compared to some of Berserk’s panels. Especially the first quote by Buddha is quite matching for the character of Guts. His anger, although justifiable, pushes him only into madness and recklessness. In the volumes right after the eclipse his only goal is to kill and murder non-humans while obviously being led by rage. It’s not a coincidence why the manga is called “Berserk“. Berserk (adj.) meaning out of control with anger or excitment; frenzied.
