Someone will say “what’s with that expression?“ But I can’t help but be reminded of the famous Marx Brothers’ cabin scene from “At a night at the opera“, every time I admire the awesome graphic artwork created by Polish Zbigniew Rybczynski for his unforgettable 1981 animated short film “Tango”, which is used with an accurate clinical eye by the new Brescia four-piece DER ANNA to illustrate “Dog”, first single off “Breakthough” their debut album on Rome-based label, Music from Ass. Garagy 77’ guitars, drum machines, a batch of synthetic analogy and a quasi-spoken-word vocals to create an atypical, addictive and hook-laden post-punk track that blow our mind from the very first moment.
