USS Dwight D. Eisenhower With 4,000 Marines and F-18 Enters the Eastern Mediterranean
The US deployed their second aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower to the eastern Mediterranean after deploying the USS Gerald R. Ford to the region. The US Marine Rapid Response force, consisting of about 2,000 Marines and sailors, is entering the eastern Mediterranean Sea. A second aircraft carrier, the Dwight D. Eisenhower, will arrive in the region in the next few days.
