On October 10-20, the chess elite gathers in Doha, Qatar, the for the third edition of the Qatar Masters, organized by the Qatar Chess Association. The ten-day tournament will feature 250 players from 42 countries, including 62 GMs. The stellar lineup includes five-time world champion, world number 1 Magnus Carlsen, world #3 Hikaru Nakamura, world #7 Anish Giri, and many others. The prize fund of the event is $108,250, with $25,000 reserved for the winner, $15,000 for second place and $10,000 for third place.
