Bee German’s videos are designed for children of reading age. In the first part of the Haustiere/ pets video, the children learn important animal names. Tiernamen - Animals names Was für ein Tier ist das? - What animal is this? der Goldfisch- the goldfish die Katze - the cat der Hamster - the hamster das Meerschweinchen - the guinea pig Ein ganz langes Wort. - A very long word. der Wellensittich - the budgie die Ratte - the rat der Hund - the dog der Hase - the rabbit die Schildkröte- the turtle die Schlange - the snake die Spinne - the spider The second part of the video covers the question ’Hast du Haustiere?’ Do you have pets? Various characters describe whether they have pets or not. This part of the video teaches basic answers to a yes or no question. - Ja, ich habe einen Hund und eine Katze. Yes, I have a dog and a cat. - Ja, ich habe einen Wellensittich, einen Hamster und einen Goldfisch. Yes, I have a budgie, a hamster and a goldfish. - Ja, ich habe eine Spinne und eine Schildkröte. Yes, I have a spider and a turtle. - Ja, ich habe einen Hasen, eine Ratte und ein Meerschweinchen. Yes, I have a rabbit, a rat and a guinea pig. -Nein, leider habe ich keine Haustiere. Aber ich hätte gern eine Schlange. No, unfortunately, I don’t have a pet. But I would like to have a snake. In the third part of the video, the children have to point to the correct animal. Thus, the children repeat animal names. The fourth part shows more complex sentences. 11 Sätze 11 Sentences - Der Goldfisch hat goldene Schuppen. The goldfish has golden scales. - Der Hamster hat eine pinke Nase. The hamster has a pink nose. - Das Meerschweinchen hat langes und glattes Fell. The guinea pig has long and smooth fur. -Die Katze jagt die Ratte. The cat chases the rat. - Die Ratte rennt schnell weg. The rat runs away quickly. - Der Hund bellt sehr laut. The dog barks very loudly. - Der Wellensittich hat blaue und weiße Federn. The budgie has blue and white feathers. - Die Spinne spinnt ein Spinnennetz. The spider spins a spider web - Der Hase hoppelt durch die Wiese. The rabbit scampers away across the lawn. - Die Schildkröte läuft sehr langsam. The turtle walks very slowly. - Die Schlange schläft den ganzen Tag. The snake sleeps all day. The final part of the video involves a matching exercise.
