Watch how ordinary water became magic in the movie! 🌊 ______________ Rusal is one of the characters in the series, possessing the ability to control water, changing its shape and state. According to the plot, he captures people, holding them with water magic. I really enjoyed working on this task because the process of searching and developing the concept consisted of two stages: - The first stage - pre-production. Before filming began, there were no materials, and the idea of how exactly Rusal’s magic would look was unclear. It was only known that the magic was related to water and one of the scenes should take place in a large open pool. I needed to search for ideas in different directions. As a result, a draft sketch of a water tornado with tentacles was approved, and test concepts with this effect were created from different angles. - The second stage - post-production. Based on the filmed material, I needed to refine the found idea, come up with new forms of the effect for individual scenes, and integrate them into the footage. “Volshebnyy Uchastok“ is a comedy series based on Slavic folklore.
