The 81st Regiment’s New Year’s Eve (1997, English Subtitles, 60FPS)

While far from being factually flawless, this is the only proper documentary about the 81st Samara Regiment’s involvement in the 1994 New Year’s eve assault on Grozny. The author is unknown, it was probably produced for the television it aired on, PPT. If I find out any more, I will update this description. About the speakers featured in this documentary - all are currently alive except for the commander Alexander Yaroslavtsev who passed away from Covid-19 in January of this year. Zakhryapin isn’t the only Afghan war veteran among them, so was Yaroslavtsev and so is Burlakov and Stankevich (featured towards the end).
