Goblin’s Claudio Simonetti Lecture (Rome 2004) | Red Bull Music Academy

Though born and initially raised in Brazil, Claudio Simonetti is synonymous with Italian music. In the ‘80s he was a pioneer of Italo disco and before that he composed soundtracks for Italian horror films such as Suspiria and Dawn Of The Dead together with his progressive rock band, Goblin. The son of Enrico Simonetti, he was born into a musical family and once spent 15 weeks at No. 1 in the Italian charts – only to be knocked off by his dad. At the 2004 Red Bull Music Academy, Simonetti tells us the story of a remarkable career.
