Photographer’s Patience: Capturing Cranes’ Dance Amidst Unexpected Challenges

This morning, we set out to photograph cranes in the misty dawn, hoping to capture their graceful movements in the soft, cloudy light. The cranes arrived earlier than expected, landing on a neighboring field, and we prepared eagerly for the perfect shot. As they slowly made their way towards us, anticipation grew—just thirty more minutes, and the flock would be within ideal range for our lenses! But as often happens, the tranquility of the moment was shattered by hunters, causing the flock to scatter. Despite the disruption, we were still able to witness a breathtaking spectacle: the cranes’ dance. About ten pairs leapt into the air, spreading their wings and calling out in unison, following an invisible rhythm.
