Antarctica - Rounding Cape Horn

The Jonathan, owned and captained by Mark Van De Weg, after several weeks in Antarctica in late January 2015 rounded Cape Horn. The “screaming“ sound in this video is caused by the strong wind in the boat’s rigging. The winds reached 63 mph. The boat reached 16 knots, the fastest it had ever gone, At one point Captain Mark had three members of the party go down into the salon and lock the hatch. Susan says she was terrified. And loved it.
