Wait for Me (Kovu & Simba)

Wait for me, i’m coming, Wait i’m, coming with you! Wait i’m coming too? Wait? _______________________ I’ve always loved the idea that after TLK2 Simba and Kovu bonded, this video is that. Simba takes Kovu out on a walk, one that doesn’t get interrupted by Zira this time, and the two just... talk. They tell eachother about their lives and their past losses, and work out some emotional issues they‘re dealing with about eachother. This is one of the reasons why I like the Kopa theory so much (if you don’t know it it’s basically that Simba had a son before Kiara named Kopa, and that’s the cub at the end of the first lion king. Zira killed this cub as revenge for Scar’s death, and that’s what led to her exile) is because I like to imagine that Kovu can fill the hole left in Simba’s life by Kopa’s death. Kovu becomes the son Simba lost, and Simba becomes the dad Kovu never had.
