Inker & Hamilton – “Shadow And Light” (Germany WEA) 1988

Written by Hubert Kemmler, Michael Cretu, Dave Inker and Hilary Hamilton. Produced by Michael Cretu. British born, Dave Inker and New Zealander, Hilary Hamilton began collaborating in the late 70s, with their first album, “Highs And Lows” being released in Germany in 1980. That garnered the attention of CBS in Germany, who signed the duo and they recorded two albums, “Person To Person” and “Double Feature”. Dave Inker produced both these but turned to Michael Cretu in 1987 for the production of the album, “Dancing Into Danger”. This disc also featured the involvement of Hubert Kah’s leader, Hubert Kemmler and was a hit (#42) in Germany. As with another Michael Cretu act, Sandra, there does not appear to have been any US release of Inker & Hamilton’s singles or albums, in spite of the English language recordings.
