How to make 1940’s Queen Pudding | Dining Through The Decades Holiday Edition Ep. 2
Hello Darlings, welcome back to another episode of Dining Through The Decades! In this episode I make Queen Pudding from 1941 from a little Australian Cookbook. This was SO delicious, I highly recommend making it for Christmas or anytime of year for a matter of fact! Queen Pudding Recipe
Ingredients:
4 ounces (113g) of bread or cake crumbs
1 pint (568mL) of milk
1 tablespoon of sugar
Rind of 1 lemon
2 eggs
A pinch of salt
2 tablespoons of castor sugar
Raspberry jam.
Method:
Bring the milk to the boil, pour it over the sugar and crumbs, add lemon rind and beaten egg yolks; put into buttered pie-dish, and stand it in a baking dish containing about 2 inches of water.
Bake in a moderate oven for about half an hour, or until the centre is quite firm.
