NES Game: Family BASIC (1984 Nintendo/Hudson)

Family BASIC originally started out as a BASIC programming tool for people who want to learn programming in 1982. Nintendo later released it for the Famicom in 1983 making the first typing game released for the game console labled version 2.0. It consists of three modes, message board (where you can type anything you want), calculation board (type any basic mathematical formula), and music board (type any numbers and letters used as musical notes to play a tune). It was later released as v3.0 in 1984, which consists of 4 mini-games and feels like a DOS game which you have to type in the word GAME and the number. GAME 0 is the Heart Game. Done by either a microphone or keyboard GAME 1 is the number game where you control a penguin on a grid to collect numbers while avoid the Sidestepper crabs from the original Mario Bros. arcade game. GAME 2 is you must create your own levels in order to control MARIO or it goes to Game Over screen instantly. GAME 3 is a shooting game feels and looks like Space War where you control a spaceship and shoot as many enemies as you can. Version 2.0 comes first. Version 3.0 starts at 27:30
